Question about insurance

I'm turning 16 soon and for my first car I want a G35. Who wouldn't? They're in my price range, but my parents are freaking out about insurance costs. They are currently covered under USAA with two vehicles. If I were added to their coverage, how much do you think it would cost? I have a 3.9 GPA, and, if it makes a difference, probably won't be getting the car until I'm 16 and a half. Thanks in advance for any input.

Not sure it all depends on your area, accident rates, population, alot of different factors come into play with insurance. Heres what i pay $500/500 delectable 250,000/500,000 bodily and i pay 300 a month and i just turned 21 but i am also on my own insurance.

Dont get a coupe, get a sedan. The rates are MUCH lower.

There's no way for us to tell what your insurance costs would be! It will be far cheaper if it's on your parents policy since there should be a multi car discount. One sure way to find out, have your parents inquire....

True, I have mine through the Texas Farm Bureau, my house, and cars. NOBODY had been able to beat them yet.

If youre in California, hit me up for a quote I usually beat USAA prices and do offer good student discounts!

But yeah, You should give your agent a call and ask about getting a quote for adding the g35 and you to the policy - its your agents job to get you this info.

To answer your question, it will be a bit high just because you are so young and youre driving a car that is synonymous with young kids doing stupid things... You are high risk as well as the car.

Have your parents get quotes from other insurance companies to compare. Hopefully you can find a good policy that covers what you need and for a decent price. Good luck!
