Helpp---how do you open the trunk

Helpp---how do you open the trunk

Hey guys, my trunk used to pop open by itself, so i didnt wanna go to the shop because they want $150 jus to check wats wrong with it, so i opened the trunk an unplugged the wires in the bak where u cant open in from ur key, but i didnt realize that i cant even open it from inside with the button on the left side of the steering wheel... so now i have no idea how to get it opppennn so please HELP HELP HELP

Just pull the seats out and you should be good to go.

if all else fails if u put down the rear seats and ur small enough to get ur arms in the trunk theres a handle u can pull, if that handle isnt connected u can get a pliers and move the little latch yourself, and if THAT fails theres 2 10mm bolts holding the trunk lock down u can just unscrew those and lift the truck up

^ Yeah a small red tab. You'll have to kind of fish it out because it could be pretty snug in there. Then reach in the trunk and pull the manual trunk release and it'll open.


LOL what I'm scratching my head about is why you would think disconnecting the wires would still allow you to open the trunk from in the car.. There's nothing connecting the trunk to any switch at that point, inside or out.....

i didnt think at that point, i was annoyed by the trunk popping open lol
