Scratched bottom of my door!! HELP
Scratched bottom of my door!! HELP

ok so heres the scratch. I had a little trouble backing out of a very narrow driveway with a rockwall on one side and cars parked all along the other side of the driveway. this is the end result, I scratched the bottom of my door with a rock. I am so mad right now. of coarse it didnt help that I was a little tipsy. The scratch looks much worse in the picture then it does it person
what should I do to fix this? I am going to get the QX1 touch up paint for where the paint chipped off, but what should i do to fix those little scratches in the plastic?
no dents or cracks, just scratches.. I really dont have a couple hundred to spend. Im gonna get a quote at least though.. The scratches are barely noticeable unless you're really up close. Its the chipped paint that is noticeable. Is a couple hundred like in the $200-300 range. Or are we talking $500+. if its more than $500 Im definitely just going to touch it up myself.

From the pic it looks like there's some cracks, if they are just scratches use some light compound and remove them. Check your color code and order touch up paint from www.drcolorchip.com, cost is around $30 and will cover what damage you have left....read and follow the instructions!

For starters thats not your door. Its your side skirt.
The cracks are stress cracks in the clear and paint, not the plastic. Can be sanded down and reshot with bc/cc.
Pull the skirt off yourself to save money on labor. Ballpark Id guess would be $150-250 depending what type of quality bodyshop you bring it to.
Since your car appears to be IP, the shop might have a hard time matching... but it is the sideskirt so its not gonna be as noticable as say a door or 1/4 panel respray.
Lastly... have it fixed professionally. Most poeple who think painting consists of touch up paint or spray cans usually end up making it look worse than it already did.

If it's just the side skirt. The costs can range. It's expensive. You shouldn't drive when you're tipsy :/. But if you don't need to fix it just leave it. Maybe it's time to invest in a body kit. You can get a pair of sideskirts already painted for the cost of repainting your current one. A three stage paint job costs a lot.
