The dealership that wrecked my car was Pearson Infiniti in Richmond Va. It took me 3 months to get my G35 repaired at the place they recommended. They offered a trade on my vehicle after they wrecked it, but offered me 5k less that bluebook, I was offered auction value!! Now I have a car that carfax says was wrecked, and have lost who knows how much on a trade in. Three months for a oil change and inspection....never going back there again.

No, the insurance company (Geico) told me about that. I had set up to pay the deductible and then went back and told the dealer that my lawyer would be in touch, that's when they said they would fix it.
My opinion is that they still owe me for lost value.

lol interesting. is this true of all insurance companies or jus geico? but it seems like geico is always quick to have the customer go through them and pay the deductible rather then help the customer in getting the other party whos responsible to take responsibility.

I agree. You'll probably need said lawyer to get it. Pearson is my dealership, too. I have the Elite service plan, so they have my car a couple of times a year. If they ever do something like that to me, my lawyer WILL be in touch.

I started going to the NISSAN dealer. I needed a battery, Infiniti wanted $190, Nissan was $125. Sheehy Nissan.
All I can say is be careful, it's not worth the hassle.

It is a shame that it came to that. They have to carry what is called "garage keepers" coverage that covers any/all vehicles in their care, custody and control. If they damage it then it is their insurance that covers it and not yours. They of course knew this and didn't want to make a claim or pay out of pocket. Glad they ended up taking care of it but it is pretty shi!tty of them to make you jump through hoops to fix their mistake.

I just got a new coupe myself and was wondering if most of the repairs can be done at a local gas station garage? Will they charge me an arm also??

Typically third-party/independent service outlets will charge less than dealers for a given service. The trick is finding one who you're confident is competent and trustworthy. Also, Nissan dealers can typically perform all Infiniti service tasks and will charge less for them than an Infiniti dealer.

Infiniti Stealerships....there's better choices!

When you need service either go to Nissan or find an independent qualified shop to do the work if you can't! If the dealership wrecks your car turn it over to your insurance company that's what you pay them for. The member that waited 90 days to get his car back made an error expecting the dealership to do the job right and on time. Then there's the lost value issue, his insurance could have recovered that for him!

I was at the dealership for a recall….while I was there, I thought I would ask a couple of questions.

1. Why does my remote only work intermittently?
2. My tire pressure sensor light is on (I knew I had a damaged sensor). Could it be manually turned off?

Their answers:

1. They took my remote from appeared 20 minutes later and said the battery was dying and they replaced it….okay great
2. They told me they would look at my tire pressure sensor for $90. Since I knew the sensor was damaged, I said no thanks.

When I got my car back, they told me they looked at the sensor for free, it was damaged and they would replace it for $273. I said absolutely not. My independent guy said if I bought one online for $50, he’d install it for free. Then, to my surprise, they handed me a bill. I asked why I was getting charged as this was a recall. The bill turned out to be $48 and change to replace the battery in my remote. I told them I never authorized them to do that. They did it on their own accord. It was only after that exchange they didn’t charge me for the work.
