Cracks in NEW bumper?

Its definitely not a problem with the looks, we got it to work and it LOOKS fine, what I am worried about is when those cracks begin to reappear. The body shop even said that they could probably get it on and make it look good, but in two months if I hit a bump those cracks are just going to crack right through the paint again. I understand that the damage MAY have happened during shipping (didn't look like it to me but who know), but I would still expect a little help from strafe to make things right. Yes it is FG

No offense, but that's fiberglass kits for ya. They're realatively easy to repair and repaint....but you'll always run the risk of cracking/damaging it when you hit something. Poly will take more abuse, but when it does break/tear, it's much harder to repair. I've dealt with fiberglass in the past, and what youre experiencing is typical. Unfortunatley, or fortunatley, your bumper's condition really isn't out of the ordinary. I try to always go the poly route nowadays just for that reason though.

glad to see you hear, when we doing lunch in tx buddy?

sorry to see that 1 customer experience can stray you away. We have great customer service and answer EVERYONE who pm's/writes about us. We always take responsibility for our products we sell. We offer ways to get them replaced, however we cannot control customers running to forum prematurely.
I do not brainstorm on what to say. Its cut and dry. Shocker jumped to the forum without even seeking all possible routes to get this replaced. He sent me an email saying simply this
So are you going to take responsibility for it or what?
We simply cannot take responsibility for the product being damaged during shipping. The product was not cracked/damaged prior to leaving shipping facility.

With all the business STRAFE does here on DRIVER I'm surprised they just don't take it back and give him the poly bumper he thought he had ordered, considering the poor quality of what he received. Come on STRAFE do the "right thing" for your customers and members of DRIVER!

didnt get a chance to say hello to you at the venice beach meet.. next time yes?
I'm just going to make the prediction that this thread will be deleted in a few days after Strafe or a Strafe fan boy complains. Then another dissatisfied buyer will make a similar thread in a week or two.......as I say every few weeks, history tends to repeat itself on Driver

I never claimed that Dustin was rude to me, I think both of us remained civil and he simply made the choice not to help me out in this instance. I'm not coming at him at a personal level, I am simply revealing a problem with a vendor in the marketplace that people need to know about. The only thing that I ever really got from him was "it was cracked during shipping, sorry no responsibility on our part". The one thing that seems shady to me about this is the amount of cracks and the lack of damage to the box. It seems very easy to me for you guys to send out **** bumpers and when they do come cracked to simply say "sorry, deal with the shipping people" and never really answer the issue here. Maybe it was damaged during shipping, I acknowledge that, he could have at least put me in the right direction to make things fixed instead of just saying I was SOL
Your right, we beat your bumpers up before boxing them up & hope you dont notice the cracks/damages when getting the parts. come on now ,really?

shocker/rian... never did i once claim you were SOL. You now have jumped straight to the forum when i was still willing to help you out in the situation. sucks to see but is what it is now rian.
I did initially leave Strafe's name out of this thread, but someone asked, and I answered. They were obviously interested in seeing who these problems were coming from so that they can use that information in the future, and there is nothing wrong with that. That is why there are review websites to see the validity of businesses, so that people know what they are paying for and know what to expect. I was not expecting poor fitment and the cracks in my bumper, therefore I "wrote a review" so that other people could make educated decisions in the future, and maybe I could get some suggestions on what I could do with the shipping company to try to fix the situation
Dustin, thank you for chiming in. OP and to others who do business with vendors on this forum please go through the entire process of contacting and discussing fully any issues you have with your orders with the vendor prior to airing it out on the forum.
In this case if Dustin (or another vendor) had told you "too bad not my fault and I'm not willing to help with the insurance claim so you could get a new bumper" then it would have been appropriate first to contact myself and I would help you communicate with Dustin (or any other vendor) prior to creating a thread.
You are definitely more than entitled to post a review of your experience with a vendor, I just prefer that you do so after going through the entire process of trying to resolve your issue.
