Alignment

Anyone have an opinion on getting an alignment at a Nissan dealer with coilovers and f/r camber kits? I was offered a good price and they said they could knock it out without a problem....

i always felt that if ur stock u can go to any alignment shop (dealer, goodyear, firestone) but if ur lowered i usually take it to shops that specialize in modified cars

What was the estimate? I'm tempted to do the same.

That would be a serious mistake! If you want your alignment done right you don't want to go to dealerships/firestone/sears or pepboys. I have two independent brake/alignment shops in my area that do the job right. Find one in your area, someone that doesn't have a ramp you need to drive up. Ask your friends and neighbors, every neighborhood has at least one that does their job right!

The word "Ramp" refers to a sloping entry, being lowered that's not what you want to tackle to get your alignment done. My brake/alignment shop has a "Rack" that's the same level as the street/driveway without an incline. You could be down very low and still get on the alignment rack...understand? My cost for a 4 wheel alignment here in SoCal is $65= which isn't bad for 2K12.

Got it. So it's more of a traditional 2 post rack? Uses those new prisms to compute the wheel measurements?
