Hey guys, I just received an email about G series is getting a software update for 2012. My dealership has sent me the email for it to make a service appointment. Does anybody have the scoop about this 2012 Software Update?

 

I don't know anything about it but what year is your car?

 

2008 G35 Journey Sedan

 

I have not heard anything about it.. I wonder is it for all G's or just for your year or newer

 

for low rpm at idle? they do have a new TSB for a ECU refresh

 

I got out of the dealership this morning with the software update the main reason i went. They went over the computer and said that they had an update for it to stop hestitation when coming to a stop and to help smooth the acceleration better. It took them one hour to do the update. My car is an 2008 Infiniti G35 Journey Sedan.

 

did the ECU refresh over the weekend at the Infiniti dealer.

The difference is noticeable and shifting (6MT) smoothly can be done more easily.

 

I havent noticed a difference in the vehicle still feels new.

 

I got this also and I called Infiniti Custmoer Service and they didn't know anything about this update. He had me read him the email that Orlando Infiniti sent me and said there is no software update. So he kept me on the phone and called Orlando Infiniti and he asked the service manager about this and what the service manager said was that this was just for you to come in and they check to make sure there are no TSB's, Recalls or Campaigns on your car that are needed. THERE IS NO SOFTWARE UPDATE

 

if you setup a service appt online their is an option for Software Update.

i got this call to but if its for idle then il do it if not the eff it.

 

My local dealer has been calling me for months. I am pretty much never going to go back there.

 

If you are concerned about this topic please go to your nearest Infiniti dealer and ask them about it. When i inquired about it i did have a issue that was updated with my Infiniti. It may or may not pretain to you. Thank you.
