The reason I splurged on OEM was bc I read reviews on the aftermarket ones like orileys etc and lots of bad reviews. Maybe I shoulda gave Napa a try but didn't feel like doing it more than once even tho it had lifetime warranty. They all did . Plus I believe they're so cheap bc they're all refurbished radiators and refurbished usually means problems short term that's why they can offer the lifetime warranty. Plus getting old working on the car is not as fun on the body as it used to be. don't worry I usually don't buy expensive OEM parts. I usually look for deals. I think this was the only OEM part I splurged on ever.

GAH! finally. figured out how to fix the issue with the disp, cat, cd, and radio buttons being dim with the white leds. it was freaking me out and i wracked my brain trying to figure out a solution. tried different led brands on just those four hoping it would help. didnt. tried changing resistors to 0 ohm.. still not enough. still got dim when the headlights turned on.
what i finally decided on was to put a resistor where one of the leds are and then wired in a single led in parallel to the fan led. its not pretty but it seems to work well. all my stuff is about the details. if its not perfect im not gunna be happy. soo here it is.
first pic shows what it looked like before.
