Another member on the forum contacted me and saw from my blog I wanted a spoiler. He had the same DG paint and he wanted to go spoiler-less so we swapped trunks tonight. So now I have a badge-less trunk with a spoiler.

 

Added a Coolant Reservoir Overflow Stainless Steel Line.



Swapped out Hayden Oil Sandwich Plate (POS) for a MOCAL Oil Sandwich Plate.



Heres a picture of some other details showing hidden oil catch tank.

I wasn't too concerned about it. I got what I wanted and saved an assload of money over buying a spoiler, getting it painted, and having it installed.

 

I really doubt they are worth more money since they came on the cheaper/less feature cars. Just cause few guys switched to wingless doesn't necessarily mean they are worth more.

People with wings wanna go wingless and people who are wingless want a spoiler. Crazy world we live in.

 

If you've been watching the marketplace for the last few years you would definitely know wingless are very easily traded for winged + cash on top. Wingless at least on the forums are in more demand than winged, hence the usual addition of cash.

The guy got the trunk he wanted and didn't have to pay to add a spoiler to his old trunk, so still a great overall option doing a straight up swap compared to that even if he lost out on a small amount of cash.

 

That's very true & I agree with you. I personally wouldn't pay a penny to go wingless. But it all depends on what's its worth to you at the end of the day I guess.

Wingless I think fits extremely well with a few members setups, others though I feel like it does little for it. I'm running my old whale tail spoiler currently after selling my strafe trunk when I was demodding to sell, but if I decide to keep my car longer I think I'll go back for another strafe or hd trunk. I love the little molded lip.

 

Very few I ever liked wingless. But again to each his own
Strafe & HD trunks look pretty damn good. Definitely waaaaaay better than wingless.
