Put the hood on today. Gaps are just the hood being more narrow than the oem.

Need to mess with it more as it won’t latch. Tried all the tips and tricks to no avail.

I’m not sure how I feel about it honestly... What say you?

Would highly recommend you get rid of that grill and go ionic or similar (emblemless OE style). That grille and hood don't go well together iMO.

Appreciate it. I’m hoping it grows on me honeslty. Lol!

I just want to vent some heat out.

Tires are ordered, so my new rims be on shortly. Volk knockoffs, but they look alright.

After that, I’ll be installing the Cosworth manifold w/ NWP’s 75mm TB, some PPE longtubes I had built, those BDE poly motor mounts, Stillen Y-pipe and Z1’s 3” single exhaust.

Then off for a re-tune. I’m interested and seeing how that Cosworth likes boost...

Niiice. Where did you learn to paint? Can tell this is attempting to be done right with everything removed. Wish I brought my car in ready to paint instead of letting the shop do all the prep work. And I say attempting because it looks like you're painting outdoors. Love the color though!

I learned through my uncle and then we had a shop for a few years
It is outdoors there's some lint but it doesn't kill me
I'll have to pay for storage to leave it unassambled for days and get it towed back to assemble blah blah blah

After I do the jams I'm going to assemble and then take it to the spray booth and paint it

And yeah prep is everything

I kind of want to remove the small windows to get in there better but I'm just going to rope it

Found a loose spark plug. Caused so many issues. Went head and checked all 6 and the coil packs just to be on the safe side. Alls good now purring like a proper G.
Next up: re-do the brakes with fresh rebuilt calipers and slotted rotors.
If I have the $$ I’ll likely finish out the suspension with front adjustable upper control arms Polly bush. And get adjustable control arms with Polly bushings for the rear.
Then plenum spacer and I’ll hold tight for a while.

Thinking about taking the hood off and hanging it back up in the garage.

Hate the fender gap on either side and how hard it is to latch. Feels like I am going to break it. Again.

Once it is latched, its pulled down too far in which the front dips down below the fender line.

I even elongated the latch bolt holes to to raise the latch up significantly just to get it to click.

Ill try hood pins. See if i can get it to line up. Fount a set I like made by RingBrothers.

Oh well I guess... Stock hoods center line will match the new bumpers center line at least.

What type of a shop do you look for to do a proper brake redo? Do they just replace the seals àround the pistons? Do you have Brembos and what do they charge for the rebuild?

Good stuff!

Has anyone ran 19s up front and 20s in the rear on their coupe and if so. What were the positives and negatives.

True staggering. It would look a bit odd for one.
