Suggestion on headlights?
My passenger side headlight has been kind of fogged up on the inside for awhile and it annoys me ALOT every time I have to look at it because my driver side headlight is fine.
Was wondering what are my options and if you guys have any recommendations. Can't be too pricey so probably no retrofits.
Oh and they're HID

Headlight restoration is usually done on the outside of the headlight though. Buffing the outside of the headlight works to a certain extent, but then it's still foggy on the inside.
They would have to take out the whole headlight to even try to clean out the inside and that requires taking off the front bumper and etc.. I don't think they'd be willing to do that especially for that cheap lol.
Yeah it does present a bit of a challenge. But if you could get the headlight assembly off yourself and then pop the lens off, you could take it in and see if they will buff it out. Or do a little DIY project and get yourself a restoration kit from your local auto store.

Well restoring the headlight isn't much of a problem. Been doing it for awhile and it doesn't take long. Like 10-15 minutes max with a DA buffer and some polishing compound. It's getting the lens off that would be a really big pain. Not sure if it'd even be worth the time.
Prinny I just searched for you, there's a sticky Headlight Paint. It explains how to take your headlights apart so all you have to do is buy plastic cleaner and polish the inside once it's apart and reseal. Not half a good as switching to projectors but you're on a tight budget....I guess!

Yeah I found it lol and I MIGHT try that.. seems like the very least a few hours of work, but how much do projectors go for nowadays do you know? Used
Been wanting to go to that one junkyard that everyone from here in SoCal talks about, but it's almost a 2 hour drive
Just do what Gary, suggested and you should be able to do the work yourself. And a damn sight cheaper than getting a new headlight assembly. If you don't feel comfortable taking the headlight out on your own, there might be a member hear that is close by and can help you out.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

The inside of the headlights has a coating on it so I wouldn't recommend buffing it. I don't think you'd be happy with the results. You'd be better off buying a new/used one.
Did that a couple minutes ago haha
If you're going to spend the $$ get the projectors, those are the headlights our first gen G35s should have come with. I doubted other members suggestions on this subject for a couple years, I was very wrong!!
