Just got DINGed

Considering my cars finish cost 8 grand yes I would call the cops over someones blatant negligence. It's not hard to open your door and not hit the car next to you. A small ding will cost me $500-$1500 to fix due to my paint being pearl & it won't match unless like 1/4 of the car is repainted. And she has no insurance, that alone is worth calling the cops.

I work at a mall which is private property and cops come all the time for stuff like this. If theyre too busy they just have em go to the police department Nd do the report there

well u absolutely should have called the cops and went thru insurance..judging from the pic ..
it looks like a dent to me which is not going to be an easy fix in that spot. i would have absolutely went thru insurance and had the dent fixed and the door resprayed and cleared..there is not gonna be a good band aid for this

PDR (Paintless Dint Repair) may be able to repair the dented portion only (if they can get their tools behind the sheet of metal) PDR does not repair scratches or paint chips, only dents. You will have to have a body shop do the repaint/blend over the chip after PDR fixes the dent. Most PDR shops around here charge approximately $25 per dent depending on the size or $100-$125 per panel depending on how many dents. This information is based on hail damage sized dents, which are very common here in Central Texas.
