I don't understand what's so funny/bad about that thread, could someone explain it?

Most of the posts are just pointing out that the car is all show and no go. Which it is. If anything, the people there actually write in full complete polite sentences, which is a step up from these forums.

The stance thing totally does ruin the ride, and it's all for show, didn't think anyone thought otherwise.

If it's all about show/aesthetics, isn't that all subjective? Who's to say you're idealization of "pretty" is better than anyone else's? A bunch of people there saying the car just doesn't do it for them. Probably has something to do with the thread starter calling it "perfect."

Maybe a lot of them are just upset to see people taking a sport car and modding it until it is slower than their family saloon maximas.

The biggest difference in the level of maturity between two forums, to me, (based on this thread) is how the admins reply. Marcus is not defending nor bashing either forum while Jeff looks like a die hard maxima fanboy defending and arguing just about every opinionated comment made in this thread. LOL why so serious bro

 

Quite a few funny posts over there. But as other have said, I don't see the replies being much different than threads we have over here when somone posts pictures of their car. Some will love it, others will hate it. That being said, I think Pat's car is one of the best looking coupes around. I do wish he'd have more performance parts on it, but I understand it is a show car and who am I to tell him how he should spend his money? Personally, I try to find a balance between show and go on my car.

 

Read what I posted there and here. I think you need to reevaluate your thinking. Correcting some ignorant statements here isn't being a fanboy. As I've corrected some ignorant statements over on the maxima forum also.

If that makes me a maxima nuthugger so be it. I owned one and modded it. I also defend the G35. Owned one and modded it. That makes me a G35 nuthugger. Now own a G8GT. That makes me a G8 GT nuthugger also
