Bought a back up fob for my 04 sedan from Infiniti.
(not ebay special).
Programmed and all worked well for months.
Installed a plenum spacer and 06 coupe air box.
All good except Fob now only works "inside" car.
Tested fob battery - way in the green/good.
Original fob works inside car as well. Not outside.
I can sit inside and make locks lock, unlock,
open trunk etc. Once my hand moves outside of the
window by a mere centimeter, nothing.
Like I said, tested the fob battery and all is
good. WTF?

Although this may have nothing to do with it, but will all electrical problems with cars, always check all of the fuses.....
