Wobbling when braking

I have just bought an '04 5at sedan and have noticed that during braking, the car has a wobbling noise that increases until I stop completely. A friend of mine said it could be the control arms, any Ideas??

You can hear something shaking like if something was wobbling where the tires are

nothing ive ever experienced. now if it was pulsating in the pedal or if the car was wobbling also. i would say could be rotors but if its just wobbling noise. i wouldnt know what it would be unless i drive it and hear it myself. jack up the car do some quick checks. maybe tierods, check your control arms, balljoints, calipers etc.

Wobbling is a new term when it comes to what our cars might do....lol You need to get her on a rack and check out the brakes and suspension and don't neglect the tires and wheels they might have issues. We can't have our members wobbling around town....Gary

If you feel it in the pedal, it's most likely rotors/pads.

If you feel it in the steering wheel, it's probably suspension components.

If you don't feel it at all, well, I'm not really sure. If it's a thump-thump-thump sort of sound, it's usually pads that are on their last legs.

When my rotors were warped on my Z applying the brakes at high speed the steering wheel reacted violently jerking left and right 3" or so....not a fun experience. Unless this is the reaction you're getting it's not the rotors!

i'd say warped bake rotors, more break--> more wobbling prob the culprit

I drove the g today and now have a refresher as to what exactly happens. When driving over a speed bump or anything of the sort, I hear a metal-on-metal wobbling noise as if something is loose. I'll try to post a video shortly

the rotors are probably warped and if its a metal on metal noise, the calipers are most likely loose as well. who ever did the brakes last really boned it up. id stop driving it asap and check it out!
