ok another question guys.. i got a 2007 infiniti G35 coupe so i have the projector headlights.. they are beginning to oxydize so when they are on the lenze has a bit of yellow greenish tint to it.. what do u guys recommen to use or have used that worked very well on cleaning the headlights and making them look like new???

I've personally used the $8.99 Turlte Wax Restoration kit and had great results.

OP just pick up a headlight restoration kit and you should be able to fix any/most oxidation you are seeing on your headlights.

 

My Nissan dealership charges $100+ for headlight restoration! You can buy the 3M kit for half that and get the same results. You might have enough left over to do a friends/neighbors car and get your $ back....

They look new, and have looked that way for a while now. Previously I would buff my headlights with plast-x every couple of weeks or so.

Speaking as a professional detailer, this is the proper way to do it. Make sure you polish them enough to remove all haze from sanding, inspect it under various lighting before sealing the headlight. Using Spar Urethane is really the only cheap, viable DIY option that will give you a lasting finish. It should last about a year, possibly more or less depending on how much abuse it sees, ambient temps, etc.

After the spar is applied, do not buff again as this will only abrade the protective coating.

Worked perfectly. Just make sure to take your time and follow the directions. Also mask off painted areas around the headlight.

I used it on the car I traded in for the Z. I'm considering applying the protectant part on my clear headlights in attempt to preserve them even longer.
