Throttle body spacer?

Do you really gain much of any power with a throttle body spacer? Does it change the sound any? What is the benefit of them?

not sure on the g's but when i had one on my jeep there really wasn't a power increase, just a whistle noise at 1/4 - 1/2 throttle.

I've heard from someone with a TB spacer on their G that it gave no power, and created an odd throttle sensation. I believe in they ended up taking it off.

Save your $$ don't do it....=o(

I've been running a TBS since '06 that I paid $100= for, seemed to make my AT work smoother at the time....smoother transition. Nissan Sport Mag did a test on a TBS a few years ago with zero gain, that should be your answer....Gary

They do nothing. Buy a plenum spacer instead.

The TB Spacer is a minimal gain. The only time you would really see a difference is with a larger TB and in a forced induction application. But even then, the gains are small. Invest the $ you would spend on the spacer and go with the plenum spacer.

I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters: not the mortgage, not the store, not my team and all their bullshit. For those ten seconds or less, I'm free.
