Drivers ed certificate.

Pretty much screwed myself by failing the permit test 3 times while I was 16 lol.
I live in virginia and it says I have to take a drivers ed class with 10 classes, can I just use my drivers ed certificate from high school to get re-examined rather than pay 200 dollars and take 10 classes?

I prefer people like you to never attempt to drive. Failing the test is just sad, but hopefully you got enough practice! In chicago, instead of taking classes, all we needed was the permit. But since you've failed to ever get your permit, I believe you need to take the test.

Don't they teach kids how to search the web anymore?

CLICK ME -- Let me Google That For You

How hard is the test?! In KY the permit test is MAYBE 20 questions. At least half of them are "What sign is this?" and shows a photo of the sign.

Also, in KY, a driver's ed certificate is not enough to skip anything. It simply lowers your insurance for the first couple years of driving because of taking the class at school

We ALL were perfect drivers at 19

The test measures more than just "What sign is the capital H on a blue background?".

It has to do with paying attention to things around you, not just driving the car.

They gave you all the information for the test. I suggest you study, take driving a bit more seriously, and enjoy a G35 soon (I assume since you're on this forum you have one).

"Don't take tests well" is a cop out. Life will be throwing tests at you for the next 50-60 years at work, so might want to put more energy into giving a ****.

I think it's safe to assume a two test system.

1st test is written only, plus maybe an eye exam, just to get a permit. After that you typically drive around with an adult or other licensed driver for three+ months.

2nd test is actually driving where you have to show (typically an officer) the ability to survey your surroundings while driving, back in a straight line, parallel park, and perform other basic driving maneuvers.

The written test is easy. The questions are common sense, or, you can you the process of elimination to help you choose the right answer.
