Infinitis new naming scheme
Nissan has made a lot of stupid decisions in the last few years, just look at some of the cars they've put out in the last two years! What happened to slick and cool looking rides? Where is the terrible influence coming from, I thought we had our own design school? Fail

Seriously, the IPL should just be called a sport plus or something. When you compare other cars high performance models to the IPL. i.e. audi S trims, bmw m trims, and MB amg trims, there is no comparison. I dont get the IPL...
This is a terrible idea. I'm not sure what specific research they did that told them this would be a good idea, but it really kills the product differentiation they've spent so much time and money building up over the last 10 years. The G, and arguably the F, has become iconic, and this naming convention further confuses people by making people think of an old flagship model (Q45) without actually producing one (unless the Q70 is intended to be that).
I am not a fan of this change.

How does the new naming convention support growth? I'm not saying the current Gxx (xx=liters of displacement) is the best thing ever, but I'm curious how they will change the numbers with each model change.
A Q50 would be the initial release. What is the second generation? Q51? Can't use Q60 because it's already used. Will it leapfrog to Q80? If so, the third generation will be in the hundreds.
