I for one welcome our new Q overlords. Someone better register infinitidriver.com or qdriver or myq60 or myq.com

This is like naming your daughter after your great grandmother... Where the lineage began. Oh the honour! Sure- it's meaningful to the family but nobody wants to go through modern life as "Mabel"

Their model here would be like Heinz rebadging its 57 sauce as "Heinz 1" because "1 was where it all began."

I could also swank up my sex life by going back to prematurely ejaculating and sucking face with the grace of a dead sunfish because that's how I rolled in 89 (cough cough until 2006- I was a late bloomer).

Sorry but I'm rocking a new style and I'm looking forward, not back. If they're going to rebrand and chase innovation they should probably consider that inovate and recycle are spelled differently for a reason.

I'm glad to see that they're bringing the Q back. Just sucks that every Infiniti is a Q now. But a 550 hp, turbo V6 luxury sedan does sound interesting!

I can't believe they're doing this. That is the dumbest naming scheme I have ever seen next to Lincolns.

Isnt the new G suppose to be a turbo 4cyl anyway? Its pretty much G20t vs Q60....
I dont mind the Q60 stuff I think if the cars are solid in a few years the name will be positive.

EDIT: This will also allow for more than 1 engine option.

G35
Who gives a shiit what they are named really? If the G was name Q35 back in 03 we would be just as disappointed today if they are changing it to G35

As long as they make good/quality cars. The name will be fine

From the infiniti facebook page, Looks like they are really doing it.
Their reason was they didnt want their new customers to be confused with their model line up because they said Infiniti is across the globe now. Also, they are planning on making a 550hp IPL car. So although the new naming sucks d@@@, at least they are "planning" on making more powerful cars to compete with M3, C63, etc

I think it only adds to the confusion for new buyers!!

I like the fact that they are building new IPL line but for North America, namely US?? With the state of our economy I don't see many people buying the new IPL line, especially at High price tags!!!!
