No kidding, but who wouldn't buy a 500hp rwd coupe or sedan for 60-70k
The 2014 Nissan GT-R will cost $100,590 including a $1,000 destination charge, the company said on Thursday. That’s an increase of $2,770 over last year’s price. The GT-R Black Edition will come in at $110,300 with the destination charge.
The Nissan’s 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 was improved last year to 545 hp and 463 lb-ft. This year, engine response is improved in the mid- and upper-rpm ranges. The body gets more rigid while changes to the shocks, antiroll bar and springs result in a lower center of gravity.

OK...now be honest...what OTD price did you try to get them down to and would you let Slick go for the right deal!
when i went to get my G i stopped at a nissan dealership and was gawking a GTR in the showroom one of the salesman came up and we talked a bit i asked him if i wanted to take this home where would be start on price? he said from $95k but that was back in 2011

There's fast, and then there's the 2.3 seconds it takes to launch the AMS Alpha Omega Nissan GT-R to 60 mph from a standstill. Designed and built as the research test bed for many AMS products, the Alpha Omega packs around 1,700 horsepower, thanks to a complete AMS 4.0-liter engine and an upgraded AMS turbo kit.
The dealership here in Murfreesboro said they have sold more GT-R's than almost anyone in the southeast, I have personally seen two around town. The salesman said he would get me out the door for 100k after giving me 16k for my G....o so tempting.

I'm sure a lot of potential customers don't buy these cars because they are Nissans. Face it, Nissan / Datsun doesn't exactly bring visions of supercars to the minds of people wealthy enough to drop 100k + on a car. More likely they remember cars like the B210 or the Sentra when they think of Nissan, It should have been marketed in the US as an Infiniti. VW and Toyota got it right with the Veyron and LFA, rich people want name recognition and Nissan doesn't have it in the US. Great car none the less, I'd buy one if I had that kind of cash to blow on a toy.
if you're someone shopping for a car because of it's name, then you are not a car enthusiast. if someones got any knowledge of cars, they'll use that when it comes to buying one. the GT-R is an absolute beast of a car, and if the mid life crisis morons can't see past the name Nissan, then that's their problem. I see these guys all the time in their expensive "look at me, I have a (insert luxury brand here) convertible", driving 15mph below the speed limit in the right lane of the highway.
As for the LF-A. It's a good car. Not for me. For it's price (close to $400,000?), I'd expect something that performs A LOT better than it does. Lexus seems to be overly hyping the exhaust note for the LF-A because that's all the car has going for it it seems. But honestly, the Ferrari V8's from the F360 sound better, and that's years ago. Toyota is gonna have to do 10x better to impress me.
Instead of one LF-A. I will take two GTR's. Make one a drag car and send it to AMS to get their Alpha 10 package for 1100HP and run 8's for shiits and giggles. Modify the other for track racing and run circles around 95% of the competition, and finally buy a nice comfy Range Rover with the rest of the money. The other guy will have his bone stock, much more expensive to fix, LF-A.

Their parts are among the best and they know their stuff. The stuff they did before the GTR with the Evos tiny 2.0L 4 banger is nothing short of amazing.

Your right up the road from me (Huntsville, AL) Frankly that doesn't surprise me...there is alot of money in the Nashville Area!!! You can always tell a GT-R from Murfreesboro... it's the one with the gun rack in the back window!!! Sorry old joke couldn't resist.
