Beautiful coupe....^....I watched that race on our Speed Channel this past Saturday. Those cars/drivers sure know how to cut corners.

I've been watching it off and on for a few years, pretty good racing. I don't understand how they allowed the Nissan's into the series though, I thought they were supposed to be based on production V8 RWD cars?

Apparently you can't even buy an Altima in Australia yet. Wait till the first supercar fan runs out to buy one in October, they'll be totally dissapointed.

I've been listening to (remember radios) or watching the Indy 500 race since I was a tiny child. My Dad being from Indiana attended the first race where they averaged 100 mph in the early '30s. I've attended a few races ('60s) and visited the museum, Indy is like going to church!

Your Dad would have to be mighty old to have been at the FIRST Indy, that one was in 1911 with an average speed of 74.602 mph

Speaking of Indy, it was nice to see Kanaan finally get his.

It's possible Dad could have attended the first Indy race, he graduated from ISU in '29. A few years later moved to SoCal where he met my Mom, the rest is history. Dad passed away almost 30 years ago, he's still missed!

I remember the first time I walked through the gates there, September 28th 2001, I had goose bumps, I'll never forget walking under the arch. Indy is sacred ground for race fans, not neckcar fans but real race fans. I remember listening to the 500 on the radio in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s before it was live on TV, then watching it when it was televised. I’ve yet to attend a 500, I had planned to but the split between CART and IRL ruined Indy for quite a while, it may be time to plan that trip.
