Auto Repair Insurance

Anybody carry this? Came across my mind as im getting my finances straight now that I have a baby.. wondering if it would be in my best interest to purchase some sort of insurance on repairs with repair costs being as high as they are on G's.. If your carrying some sort of repair insurance, who did you go with and how much are you paying monthly? Whats it cover, whats your year and model?

I'd say it'd be worth it if your at higher mileage, and don't always drive too conservatively.

im currently at 96k , I bought it a few months ago..it is burning about a quart every 1000 miles, I dont mind it because I keep it monitored and was expected with buying an 05. I dont expect to be getting a replacement engine from this, but with even the smallest things having a $1,000+ price tag, i might be considering it. Previous owner kept extremely well care of it as everything was serviced at the dealer as I have records but that doesn't mean by any means my vehicle is bulletproof. I dont drive it hard or anything like that.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

I decided when I bought my car to skip warranties or repair insurance after researching G reliability. Glad I did, after 4 years and 115k miles I have spent less than $500 in repairs on my 05 sedan. Don't ask how much I've spent on mods though, it's a painful thought.

I would skip the insurance and invest in some decent hand tools so you can tackle routine maintenance / small issues yourself. Much more gratifying and you will save a ton of $$ over the life of your vehicle

^ This.

Hand tools, plus online parts dealers offering lower prices means savings in the bank.
