Easy OldManRivers, when the English majors tune in we normally tune out (aka) ignore em. It does help if members would read what they post!

I agree with you Gary C, I would help but it tends to be slightly annoying when you have members that have been on the forum for less than a month trying to correct members that have been here awhile.

Illegal tint is such a waste of time. I'm surprised after the second pop u didn't learn ur lesson. Here its bout $150 per window including the little rear window. Not even worth the trouble

The whole officer protection thing is BS in my book. You get pulled over you roll your windows down to communicate. Even with no tint if you don't roll your windows down the officer will be very "sketched" out. IMHO it's a way to generate more revenue just like a front plate.

Its so the cops can see in your car as they are walking up to it, has nothing to do with communication..

^^^^^^ this. It has a lot to do with police safety.not to mention when all your windows are 5% its pitch black in your car.

I can see that. But to communicate you have to roll your windows down. Then the whole car is visable.

On a lighter note Once i had gotten pulled over literally hours after getting 5% all around. Lol I had to crack the door open and place my hands between the glass and the roof. Needless to say that was an awkward explanation haha

Approaching a car at night with 5% tint wouldn't matter if your window is rolled down or not! Communication has little to do when a cop approachises your car, it's mostly visual. When you get pulled over they're approaching from behind he/she can't see inside the car coming up on it, you have no idea who else is in the car and what they might be doing.
