I had a similar cyclic vibration like you're describing on my sedan. My lower control arm bushings were shot and the arm was pushed forward. Replaced those as well as compression rod and lower shock mount bushings with energy suspension polyurethane ones, rotated and balanced the tires. No more vibration and much better steering feel.

Probably not this but check for a bent rim as well, sometimes this can appear as a vibration at higher speed.

I had this problem I highway speed when decelerating. Turned out the rear differential bushing had blown. It was pretty obvious because goo was going down the rear diff cover. Replaced with whiteline diff bushings, vibration gone.

OK guys let me set something straight. The drive shaft will spin in Neutral causing the rear wheels to spin when they are lifted off the ground. This is the force on the clutch when in neutral/disengaged. However, when the rear wheels are on the ground, the car is too heavy causing the drive shaft to stop (not enough force on the clutch). Go ahead, give it a try...I thought my car was messed up when I saw it

Have you tried it with the rear wheels off the ground? Have you been in neutral and without pushing the clutch in, tried to force the shifter in first gear and the car moves forward? Go for it maynnnn

Even though this thread is way off topic, I only posted the previous information because you said the drive shaft is stopped...I was just being technical. Check out these threads:
