Another G wrecked... picture attached!!
So on Monday, I was coming up to a red light, entering the left hand turn lane and this guy in a newer honda accord decides to cut the corner. He entered my lane and hit us so hard that it pushed my G back about 10 feet. My girlfriend and my dog were with me but nobody was hurt. The airbags did not deploy, however it looks like extensive suspension damage. Obviously the hood, fender, bumper and wheel are all garbage. The car is a 2003 coupe with A/T and all options except Navigation. The engine only has 130,000 km (about 85K miles) and was always stored in a garage.
I Have not checked the blue book value but was wondering what you guys thought... Is she going to be a write off, or do you think it can be repaired (and run as good as new)? The insurance adjuster is going to get back to me early this week. Just wondering if I should be shopping for a new G or expect to get this one back?

Sorry for your loss! It looked like a very nice coupe. I had my a6 Audi quattro totaled by a drunk driver. It looked as good as your g for a 10 yr old car. It wasnt as bad as yours but audi cost for repair was thru the roof! $1200 just for rear axel. Thats why I got a G35X.I hope they dont total it! To find a coupe as nice as yours will be hard.

Thanks for the input guys. I checked KBB.com and had to use a NY zip code, because we use postal codes up here in Canada. The blue book value was $11,200 in good condition and $11,900 in very good condition.
I still havent heard anything from the collision center. Still hoping to get a fair dollar out of this. I will definately be looking for another stock, low mileage and unmolested G35 with A/T.

Last time I had a car totalled in California they used the same formula. In that case it actuallly worked to my advantage as the car ( 84 300ZX Shelltop) was more of a collector item & fetched more than I originally paid for the car, versus blue book which listed value at 1400.00

yeah, I'm in Barrie, Ontario... Canada
still haven't heard from the adjuster yet. it's been a week and a half. Not too worried as my rental car is a brand spankin' new Mazda 3 and although it has no ***** it is still a fun albeit, lightweight car to drive.
