Not trying to be original as in individualism... Original as in factory original. I'm gonna enjoy my car with a few mods but keep it closer to stock than not , if you will..,

Imo it'll be like the supra. But more expensive. Kids can't buy supras till this day , won't be able to afford the parts , n rare.

On FB I am only in one group that pertains to the g35 and thats the g35 driver one.

I am so shocked at the quality of parts bought in that group from ebay clear corners to autozone rotors.

For crying out loud ebay clear corners????? Fvcking ebay clear cornerssssssssssssssssssssssss?????

Bought my car used with eBay corners. They were like a god damn aquarium.

First JDM shiit on my car was corners. Throttle response was amazing after that upgrade.

Musta had leaking blinker fluid. That would cause that aquarium affect. Not eBay or the clear corners fault.

1995 MKIV supra I owned in 2008, it was costly then and is still costly now but it's still affordable. An NA can run 8-14k and a TT will run 18-whatever depending on trans type, factory original or highly modded etc etc

And to bluedevil,.. The gtr is becoming affordable fast, I'm on the search for one. The 2009 are comin in at 60k used with low miles...that is quite a difference from when it first sold with "market value" mark up on it

Every car forum has a cycle directly related to the age, price, buyers and how rare the car is.

Based on what I have seen on other forums I expect the coupes to still continue dropping in price, this will bring in a lot of new people, some with good taste, some not so good. A few years down there will be a trend where the people will "derice" some examples and the prices of the ones in pristine and unmolested condition will see an increase. Lets not forget that the design of the G35 coupe is one of the most beautiful designs of the last decade and basically positioned the Infiniti brand with the image that it has today.

I expect G35driver to be here for a long time, the amount of information and knowledge can't be replaced with facebook or other social network sites.

Just my 2 cents.

not many kids will be willing to spend that type of money on a car that old. I kno I wouldn't. then theres the maintenance of the gtr which is a price tag on its own. as to how that will be handled after the car has aged idk. ima assume the supra is more dyi friendly than the gtr. some people think oh used gtr affordable now but forget the hefty maintenance that comes along with owning one

The bad thing is that half of the dumb@$$es that would buy a cheap GTR aren't going to consider that and are gonna end up with an expensive lawn ornament.

the supra is a very maintenance friendly car in close to its original form. The 2jz motor is amazing. it really only becomes more maintenance critical once its highly modified. I also have a lexus is300 that is compelety stock and that thing won't break if i tried and that one has a stock 2jz VVTI. I actually have had to maintain the G35 more than the IS.

GTR isn't as bad as some would think. its still a car that you can change your own oil on and perform standardized maintenance.. I always place money aside specifically for maintenance on all of my cars.

Look I'm 26 have had my ride for 2 years. Not many people are willing to put in the time and effort and money that I am building out the car I love. Those who are left are the ones who really really love the g. GTR is dropping quick. I could care less what my 60k could buy. I would rather build it. That's my standpoint though. Not to mention I would rather have a. 67 vette stingray for 40-60k. Tt to one will increase in value. Supra give it another 3 years it will be in the 30-40 range or less.

I'm assuming you meant GTR's... but I'll tell you they won't drop as quickly as you think. When they value a car, they don't add in the markup on them from being new and exclusive/hard to get. The 2009 was 70K new. They're now a solid 4 years old and still selling for $58K-$65K stock. In 3 years it will probably be in the mid to upper $40K range.

I hate typing on my damn I pad. I have so many errors. I did mean gtr. Not supra. I agree pepper, but I think we are also going to see a dip in just people out buying 60k cars. If they just sit on the lot eventually places get desperate enough start selling them cheaper and the price drops again. I think a lot of things a re going to happen over the next few years and there really won't be a huge super car market left. Don't get me wrong. I love cars. I love super cars I love basically all cars, but here where I live I use to see a Ferrari, lambo, and multiple gtrs every day. Countless range rovers, Teslas......... Many of Porsches, you get the point. Now I see lots of nissan leafs, Prius's I still see Teslas, but that's the direction I see things heading I hate it too.

its all about taste, I have built and put a lot of money into cars over the years and I don't see anything wrong with it! However, I now have a family and little ones, so the performance from the factory sounds nice to me because I feel its more reliable than aftermarket. Not saying that aftermarket can't be reliable but there is always maintenance and issues you run into. Anyone who thinks bolting on a turbo kit and you're done is crazy, there is always more to it than just that.

with the g35, i am going to do simple bolts ons and proper maintenance and then enjoy driving the car. nothing wrong with building it but right now thats not for me. thats why the GTR looks good to me. Full out performance and I don't have to do anything.... unless i want to lol
