varrstoen wheels are not as rice as window visor and bike rack without a bike hobby
did anyone hate on your tinted tail light back when you did them on your g?

It has been common knowledge for awhile. The older and more affordable the G35 gets; the younger the owners are. The yonger the owners get; the more they think they know. Then the rules, become more like suggestions, and suggestions get ignored because they know better. Then everyone else becomes haterz.

Quality control in production of the aftermarket cast wheel is what is in question here?
Do these aftermarket wheel companies load test each set of wheels before sale? I could understand wild QC issues. QC is expensive.

It is about quality (cast vs forged) and quality control. It is about installing inferior products simply to obatin a look.
Varrstoen wheels are much much worse than bike rack. A bike rack for show, doesnt put your safety and safety of your passengers at risk. People dont hate replica wheels because they dont look good, they look almost identical. They dont hate replica wheels because they are cheaper, everyone likes saving money. Replica wheels are rice becasuse they are poor quality with little to no checks. People actually pay money to replace OEM wheels with those of lesser quality. Rice is paying people money to make your car less safe for the sake of trying to look like a quality wheel. I am sure there are several who dont like overlays. There is a difference between personal taste and rice.
Meeting Japanese standards must make them somewhat worthy. I want to know about XXRs though, same opinions with them as well?

The whole wheel is forged. It is structurally strong an individually tested.

But, forged aluminum wheels ultimately have the POTENTIAL to be stronger per pound, and to have better fatigue resistance, than cast aluminum wheels. But, a good design and properly done casting is superior to a mediocre forging or a poorly designed forging."

Just because there's one rice mod on an otherwise excellently modded car doesn't mean it's not rice. At two of those cars have stickers and one is sticker bombed in the rear. Again, rest of the car is great but the stickers are ricey
Ha ha. Want to see rice, go to the G35 Driver FB page. Right now there is a heated debate about which is faster a stock G35 or a Charger SRT8. (No joke) To make it even better, there are multiple people claiming they have beat several SRT8s with their NA G35s

Most cheaper aftermarket wheels are "low pressure cast". They will have a crystalline structure and a low yield strength. High end aftermarket (Work DPE HPE etc.) wheels are usually forged out of billet aluminum and have a finer grain structure and higher yield strength. they are then are heat treated. That's why you pay 3-5K for a set.

The issue isn't just IF a wheel fails but even more importantly HOW a wheel fails. Forged wheels typically bend, leaving you with some control over the car. Cheap cast wheels frequently suffere catastrophic failure, removing any control you had from the car.
If you are driving on cheap wheels and they fail, you are at a much higher risk of further damaging your car or injuring passengers in the car.
