Hello, I am in this G35 group. It is filled with Grammar ****'s, Smart Donkeys, and in general people who must critique every error or mistake that occurs. Is this an occurrence for you all in groups as well? I understand people tend to be joke about certain things. However, it just seems like every other post it is happening. It makes me wonder if that's the reason they don't get a huge turn out at meets; from the way they act and treat fellow members of the group.

Poor grammar is funny until it becomes a struggle to understand/read what the member is asking! Try going over your threads/posts once or twice before hitting the submit button. Ask yourself, does that sound right? Could I add or delete a word so it makes more sense? Even the best writers use proof readers for this purpose...Gary

We are not necessarily grammar ****'s here... But like Gary said if I can barely make it through the question its an issue. The reason why we may come off like that is because some of the higher post count people most likely have all ready graduated college, and hold current jobs, or we are getting a review in grammar as our kids are going through school... The latter is my case. You could have literally doubled my reading and writing score on my SAT and my math score was still higher... Also, poor turnouts... We have many good turnouts at events. Just depends on the one. Like Nissanfest will be a huge turnout!

It is just idiotic that I can use google translator to translate the op into Mandarin- but some of these morons can't translate their English to English before they post.

I would partially agree here. Coming from DSM, supra, toyota, mazda forums the vibe here is exceptionally different. Its also a reason I don't spend much time on here. Its not like the good old days when one would understand the question at hand regardless of spelling and grammar and then lend their advice. At times I forget as in distress for answer that I too oversee the mistakes. It just makes people feel better in themselves when they find faults in others.

I say don't take it to heart and learn that some forums care more about punctuation then a fellow members problems. I have found quite a few things since owning a G35 that there is really a BANDWAGON and if you stray far from it, will be exiled with force. Just use the forums as a tool and throw the criticism out the door.

Sorry I personally have bad grammar and punctuation myself but that will not deviate me from a task. So just take it as is battle. Also education should not determine if you are worthy to post in a forum or ownership of the particular vehicle. just don't write as if you have none... like........ " my DUB weels scrap my car inside and i dun kno how homie".

People only start going grammar **** in here when someone gets cheeky and starts calling someone else out on their own stupidity while raping and pillaging the English language without remorse. What really rallies the troops is someone beating down someone else for bad "grammer" and "speeling" mistakes.

It really isn't as bad as you're making it out to be. Be a snob in any respect and your arrogance will be drowned with due enthusiasm.

Thanks everyone and I haven't had problems in this forum. Every one here is quite helpful. It is more so the Facebook group I'm in. They make a big commotion and correction on the little things. Last time I checked it was not a college essay I was submitting. I thought it was a post for people to help me out lol.

Okay- well right away I realize I misread your initial post thinking by "this group" you meant our cozy little community here on driver. Who am I kidding I'm sure we are just as messed up as every enthusiast community out there.

Anyway we all have our reasons for shooting others down- some try to make others feel the way they felt last time they were ridiculed for having a small d1ck- some just like to stir the pot and others won't remember in the morning. Some a combination of all 3. Occasionally a post is really just that stupid and you hope to light a person on fire with only words.

Don't take it too seriously and remember if you write in anger you will create the best post you'll ever regret.

Oh didn't want to throw the group name out there and valid points. I wasn't angry just corrected them correcting me. I didn't take 3 years of English for nothing. after a remark like that I feel they would day why because you failed three times. Haha thank you all for enlightening me!

Facebook in General is like that. People want to bang their internet chest, and flex their internet muscles.
