Well, somebody had better tell Lexus that, because an optioned RC-F will easily exceed that. And not just in weight.

 

Maybe something from the Daimler partnership?
It sounds like the 3.0 will be the new go-to engine for Nissan.
Lets face it, the 3.5/3.7/3.8 is no spring chicken.

 

I wouldn't make any judgement on that concept. I can assure you the front end will be close to the Q50.

 

Lexus is a step up from an Infiniti... IMO...

Aren't RC-F's comparable to a M3 like IS-F's were?

Q60, i think they are aiming at RC, A5, 4-series crowd.. price $45k-$55k ish..

I dont know.. i guess we'll have to wait.. I wish they would upgrade the engine in the Q50 ASAP.. need to switch cars.

 

Not really excited about the Q60 concept so far, but time will tell.
If Infiniti drops the ball I'll probably go the E92 M3 route.
It's been a dream of mine since they came out.
Maintenance is just so damn expensive on those though

 

Why are so many people doubting the new Q60. Yes I understand some of the renderings are the best looking but, hopefully the final product will be a smash hit. Yes, the M3 may be a better car (I stress may be) but, what would you rather drive. A car that spends most of its life in the shop or a car you can enjoy everyday. Also, once the aftermarket industry gets there hands on one and starts to make new performance parts and new body parts the oportunities are inspiring.

Since I have yet to win the lottery, my plans are to keep my 05 coupe (looking to put a million miles on it) and add a sedan to my automotive line up. I'm looking at purchasing a 2000 Lexus LS400 and VIP it. Looking at my 05. It's an extremely beautiful car. The lines and the look is timeless and as a lot of members on here have already shown. With the right performance parts and body parts the look is nothing short of gorgeous. However I do hope Infiniti doesn't let it's fan base down but, if they do. Long live the "G".

 

Actually the E92 M3 is one of the most reliable BMWs to date.
The naturally aspirated V8 has gotten rave reviews over the years for it's performance & reliability.
Which is echoed by many of the owners on M3post.

 

Now, THAT'S the M3 I want. Mainly because I believe it will appreciate in value down the road. The look is also stellar but, having a n M3 with a V8 that alone makes it different but, I'm still NEVER getting rid of my G.

 

Yeah, my dream would be to have both.
G35 for daily & M3 for the weekends.

 

i stopped looking at M3s after browsing their forums and FB groups on the 3 series. There problems are higher in numbers and more expensive. Maybe the E92 v8 is better but I remember reading about rod bearing problems in the early engines.

But weren't they doing a 3.0TT in the 300zx til 02 or something? They're just updating an even less springier chicken. Not to say I wouldn't appreciate it seeing as how new tech in that motor would probably do it a lot of good.

 

I can assure you they will not be using that motor.

 

I don't understand why so many people are upset about Infiniti engine choice. Chevy has been using the same push rod V8 for over 50 years and no one complains. Not only that, people have dropped that 50 year old engine in their G already and are loving it. For me, as long as the engine puts out 370 to 400 horsepower I could care less if they put two squirrels and a hamster under the bonnet. As long as the performance is on par or better than the competition.

 

The E92's V8 is a whole different beast from the 3 series straight 6.
But some E92s do have the rod bearing issue, it's very similar to our OC issue.
It happened to enough cars that it became a major topic on the BMW forums, but it appears to be the exception, not the norm.
