That's what i meant. Not being original equipment to your sedan, curious how the insurance company would handle that.

If it's just a rim repaint, should be simple

Hey Wrath, are you still up for installing my system. I'm trying to wait until next month to make the trip to you.

Im seeing around 2-3k in body damage... You obviously need a new rear bumper... The quarter panel will need to be re molded and the inside of the trunk... The insurance company will claim that rim as damaged. Therefore if they replace the wheel it will get expensive on her end quick. My wife took my Mazda speed6 to school with her one day and it got keyed on EVERY panel. Doors, roof, bumpers, side skirts... Everything. Just pissed me off... I was quoted 4k for new paint.

Next month I'm a bit busy with field training, until the last week or so, but yeah, still up for it.

Yeah, quote came in at about 5.7k as a worst-case-scenario - new quarter panel, new trunk floor, new rear taillight (it's fine - checked the backside of it). All covered by her insurance, but still. Hopefully I can get it dropped off and started repairs by Friday, that way I can get back from a week of field training to a repaired car.

Got the car back today!

Maybe I'm looking too closely, but I can see minor asymmetry in the left and right sides around the trunk, but I think I'm the only one who would notice.

But on the plus side, they repainted the side mirrors and tow hook plug, I've almost finished putting the mirrors together - just gotta get my heatgun to get them back in properly.

That's terrible. Teens now are really so hasty. Good thing your wife didn't get hurt.
