A very sad Goodbye!!!
A very sad Goodbye!!!
It has taken me a while to post this...but on the 8th of August my December purchased 2003 G35 was totaled. I have been a member of this forum since January 19th 2003. As a matter of fact when the forum was doing the old guy club...I think I was the elder statesman. any of you may remember my bragging about my very low mileage. Well the insurance company was (kind) enough to take a photo. I was on my way home from the store and was no more than 7 miles from home. I was on a 4 lane highway with two turn lanes one north one south. I was going north, in the turn lane with a green turn arrow. I started to turn and everything went black. I was hit by a 2004 Ford Freestar Van. The van was going south in the center lane and hit me at 60 MPH. (I was doing at the most 20 MPH, I had just started to turn.) I must say that the G probably (No...did save my life)
all 6 airbags went off. The steering wheel air bag broke my rib and my nose but I didn't die. So my beloved G35 is no more. I feel somewhat lucky that the insurance company gave me $15,695 for what was soon to become (Dec 2014) a 12 year old car. It may have helped that I saw him at the wrecking yard when he was checking out the G. I guess it does sometimes help to see a grown man cry. (Not quite but close) He was a car guy and could not believe the condition of the paint. etc. that was left of my G. I knew that I could never find another G35 with low mileage. So I bought a CPO'd 2013 G37 with 16,295 miles on it. Yes...it is black and beautiful and high tech and has 50 more horsepower but it is not my 2003 G35 Coupe.

Great to hear you are all right. The G's do very well with protection from a crash. Any pictures of the carnage or could you go into more detail about what happens... I'm confused.

Details are pretty simple. I was making a left turn on a left turn arrow. When a Ford Van coming from the opposite direction ran a redlight and hit me at...they were doing 60 MPH.
Holy ****, man!! You sure its totaled? (Joking of course). Again, at least you're OK. That looks like a fukced up day..

The wreak!!
I was making a left turn from the turn lane which has a left turn arrow. I started to make the turn and was hit by a full sized ford van doing 60 mph (legal speed). I never saw the van. I had the green light and was looking to the street, I had no reason to believe anyone was coming at me. I was making the turn from a complete stop when everything went black. I staggered out of the car (broken bones) don't remember doing it. Ambulance came...back board...neck brace...5 hours later I went home.
It's already here!!!
I looked around and could not find a G35 with low mileage (-70,000). So i did the next best thing. I bought a 2013 CPO'd G37 with 16,210 miles on it. It is also black and although it will never and can never replace my G35 it is one hell of a car. I used part of my retirement bonus to buy that damn G35 and it can never be replaced.
