Camshaft Position Sensors

I replaced both camshaft sensors, reset ECU, drove 10 miles but the CEL came back on.

I got the sensors off Amazon and they came in genuine Nissan/Infiniti boxes.

Any idea what this means? Faulty new sensors? Bad install? Anything I should double check?

What procedure did you use to reset the ECU?

the accelerator pedal press method. Do you think removing the negative terminal of the battery is a better way to do it?

I'll try it. I'm also going to check the bolts to make sure they're tight and didn't loosen themselves while I was driving

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Bump.

Any suggestions? Going to take the sensors out and check that they are working but if someone has a simpler solution I'd love to hear it

P0011 and P0021 were the original codes.

Going to re-check the codes in a bit and see if the same ones are being shown

I'm not sure an ECU reset really erases engine codes. I could be wrong. I'd erase the codes via a scanner and see if they come back. If so, i'd do some troubleshooting via the FSM

code readers are so cheap now days theres really no reason to not have one. I got mine from amazon was only like $10-20 . reset/scan codes with a push of a button. I used to do the pedal dance but got tired of it lol

Do a search. Look for "Cause for dreaded p0011/p0021 codes everyone is looking for" I think that is the name of the title. It says in that thread that it isn't a sensor issue. I believe it's an oil pressure issue.
