^if a person was filing a claim and really wanted to have the stock wheel replaced the insurance company WILL buy a new wheel for about that price minus deductible

We're dealing with factory wheel replacement from the Stealership! Remember who you're dealing with and the jacked up prices they charge!

Saywat is very close to being correct on the cost of OE replacement from those Infiniti guys! Better would be to invest in a quality alarm if you leave your ride out in the elements of today's world...Gary

wrong. I just went through this with my insurance I needed both passenger side wheels replaced from hitting a curb. they were fixable even though the curb rash was severe. if I wanted replacements they would be refurbished not new. since the car is 10 years old. if it was a newer car then yes the insurance company would pay for new wheels.

i could of requested new wheels but there's something called a "betterment" fee that applies to any older car getting brand new oem parts replaced instead of used oem or aftermarket or like new oem parts.

I chose to repair the 2 damaged wheels and since they paid for refinishing the wheels I chose to pay for the other 2 to get powder coated.

insurance company will only give you a quote. it's up to you and the body shop to convince the insurance agent a full replacement set is required. which won't happen to us since our cars are old and refurbished wheels can be found for cheap now

I could of cashed out on both but I wanted to powder coat a different color anyway which was basically free since the other 2 wheels were in top condition

Online reviews are terrible. I wouldn't trade with them.

Sick must have "The General" auto insurance. Haha any time I've ever dealt with a reputable insurance company (Allstate, state farm, etc.) They give me all new stuff regardless of where I buy it from; no questions asked. Some guy hit my old car, he had state farm, I went to the most expensive body shop in town, state farm called me, asked me (over the phone with no proof mind you) how much, I gave em the quote and 2 days later I had a check. Had similar experiences with Allstate.

Saywat is correct. Infiniti charges $1000 for a headlight, you think a wheel wouldn't be $950? I can't imagine a situation where my wheel was in mint condition and the insurance wants to give me a refurbished unit. I would drop them like a bad habit.
