It's true but I keep my G clean. And tastefully modded and worry little about the surroundings

I feel like every car culture g/z has their fair share of ricers

lol i agree with the article but what a poorly written piece of crap. its just like a paragraph long and doesnt really have any substance. the entire article is just the title dragged out into a paragraph

There is hope if you hold on tho. This same exact thing happened to the first gen camaros. Bunch of jerk kids got ahold of them and thrashed so many that now they're hard to find, and extremely collectable. Ride the storm, my friends. Ride the storm.

You're right about that. But then again, surely it doesn't take much intelligence to write a few paragraphs on ricey G35s lol

I was. Couldn't keep up with the replica classes stealing business away though

I visit Jalopnik often. This was a "Question of the Day" where 10 comments become the next days "Answer". So this wasn't really meant to be an article, but something to start a discussion in the comments.

I'm pretty sure "x car is becoming the new civic" can become a drinking game on just about every car forum. That phrase is about as played out as a 95 Civic Si.

i laugh at posts like this. if it werent for the little kids that do terrible mods clamoring for cars like the ones we drive there would be no G35, 240sx, supra, chevelle, ect. the list goes on and on.

who gives a **** what other people do to their car. its not your car.
why do people take offense to something they didnt make, i could see if you were the lead design guy of the g35. thats mad everyone is modding it. but you just happen to like the car enough to buy one.

stop acting like you all are better than everyone or an elitist and enjoy your car.

Eh, there are a lot of cars i'd say could claim this one as well.

However, I find myself shaking my head at a lot of the G35's (and G37's) I see out on the street now. It really has become the new civic. I don't think I've given an owner a thumbs up in a long time now.
