Buy back totalled G?

So a knucklehead in a Capital Meats van clipped me on the interstate and my G spun around and slid in the ditch for a while. Thank God me and my family all walked away (including wife, 4 and 1 year olds). So the car was totalled but the damage only cosmetic, rear quarter is the worst, trunk lid and both driver side doors need replacement but I'm not a body guy. Mechanically it is perfect plus I just did all the fluids, brakes, tires, shocks, hoses, belts, etc within the last month so it seems a shame to let get stripped. It's the all wheel drive too, and they want 1600 to buy back, and as much as I want to I don't have time to take on another project. What would you guys do?

Kinda depends. What year and how many miles? Are you buying a new vehicle with insurance $$? Would you be rebuilding to drive it or sell it? Every panel on these cars can be replaced, so you wouldnt really need body work exp. Itll just need a paint job after ur done.

Well if you ever plan on getting rid of it you'll basically be giving it away... I think your better off taking what insurance gives you and finding another G, unless there's a huge amount of emotional connection you have with the car.
