Tire Rotation?
If tires are all the same size, then you can rotate them but you'd have to remove the tires from the wheels (because wheel size is different front to rear).
What tire sizes do you have? Is it 225/40 front 245/40 rear?

There are tires that are asymmetrical that you can't switch sides on.
But you can switch them just back-front if you have 245's all the way around. I'm not a tire guy, but there may be some specific tires that can be switched left to right (someone chime in if they know for sure).
Do I have to do this rotation side to side or just suggested?
You can really only do the side-to-side rotation with a directional tire. The tires gets removed from the rim, flipped, and put on the opposite side of the car, it helps with camber wear. I've only done that a few times myself when I wanted to get a few more months out of a set of tires. I'm using Continental tires now that have an "outside/inside" arrangement, so no rotation at all. Just check tire pressure regularly and go.
On the previous owner's receipts, was other maintenance done as well? Sometimes a standard "5k mile package" would include tire rotation along with oil change, fluid checks, etc. but the tires obviously can't be rotated, to the tech would just skip that step.
