Changed air filter now check engine light for MAF error code?

Changed my air filter with no hitches, didn't touch the MAF, didn't drop the housing or bang it or anything. Put everything back together, check engine light is now on, go to autozone to check the code and it's related to the MAF sensor (forgot to write down the exact number).

What gives? It is possible I Just need to drive the car around a bit for the computer to adjust to it again? I saw on one video for MAF sensor a person mentioned they had to drive 20 miles (not an infiniti though) before the light went away. Could that be it?

You really need to find out/post the code and we can help you. Otherwise we're just guessing. Might just be a vacuum leak somewhere, go back over everything you touched during the install and make sure all hoses are connected and all clamps are tightened up.

You're right my bad.
The codes are:

P0102 Mass Air FLow Circuit Low Input
P0113 Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input

I checked the prongs of the plug with a multimeter and it's delivering power correctly at least.
This is the youtube video I followed:

This doesn't even appear to be an issue with the MAF, just the circuit?

I purchased some MAF cleaner. I guess I could also try cleaning it and doing a reset?

Two codes that both popped up after changing the air filter ? It appears that P0102 can in turn cause P0113 and one "fault" for P0102 is
"The most obvious problem is restricted airflow from the air cleaner to the MAF sensor which can be a clogged air filter"
What air filter did you use ? I don't remember, but can they be installed backwards ?

Clean the MAF since you have the cleaner and it's a super-easy job. Maybe some debris after/behind the filter got airborne and got on the sensor. Can't hurt otherwise....

Yeah the MAF and IAT are the same sensor (well different sensors but they're all the same unit). I would just take it out and spray MAF cleaner on it, let it dry, clear codes, see what comes back. Did you use an oiled filter or a dry filter?

I just used a dry filter, and it didn't seem like it was possible to put in backwards, the one side of the casing thingie has a notch for the one side of the air filter to sit right in.

This is one I used: https://www.autozone.com/external-en...ter/117267_0_0

I was thinking of the cabin air filter as those can be put in "backwards". You're right, the engine air filter, at least these designs, really can't be unless one forced it. The rubber gasket sits nicely in some grooves.

Front and rear cameras, tire pressure for all four tires can display on screen, folding side view mir
FWIW both air filters are much easier to replace on the G37 and the Q70.
Two clips hold each one in their holder & you just pull them up and out
No tools required

Got it fixed gents. I took everything apart, sprayed the MAF and the throttle body with their appropriate CRC sprays put it all back together.

I also noticed the hole in the bottom of the air filter box that connects to some other pipe was like off center and not very tight, it looked like it had a 1/4-1/8" gap in the one side. So I put some heat tape around the pipe to widen it a bit to make it airtight when I push the filter box back on.

Not sure if that made a difference but after doing all of the above plus an ECU reset, it worked! No codes anymore, woohoo!
