Buying a Used G. Rear Timing Gasket Concerns

I've been lurking for quite some time and I'm really wanting to pull the trigger on a higher mileage (80k-100k) 2009-2010 G37. One thing that is making me hesitant is the potential for the rear timing gasket to fail. I'd like to be able to drive this car to 150k or more without major concerns of this costly issue popping up on me.

When looking at used G's, is there anything I can look at or have a mechanic inspect to gauge the condition of that gasket?

The VQ37VHR used a better gasket than the VQ35HR so that gasket failure is less common. You can't necessarily inspect the gasket because it requires major disassembly, if the gasket was blown you would almost definitely have a CEL though. The best thing you can do is a THOROUGH inspection and drive test. Make sure to get it on the highway and mash the throttle wide open, you're not going to offend the salesman by testing functionality of the vehicle unless he's trying to hide something.
