If I could go back and do it again, I'd go oem. The covers I used at the time had good reviews but now they have bad reviews saying the spark plug tubes started leaking immediately causing misfires. Now I have to check my spark plugs for oil. It's kind of a lot of work to do more than once.
Maybe buy cheap ones and seal them with rtv for good measure? Also the hoses will probably crack during removal so it's a good time to buy new ones

What was the reason you replaced them in the first place?

I'd stay with OE valve covers! They're critical for our motors, and you don't want to create head aches for yourself buying anything aftermarket! If it's a different look you want have the new set powder coated your favorite color!
