My friend found a lambo door kit in his storage for a g35 and no longer has one. He offered it to me for cheap. I saw a couple online that look pretty good with it. But, I’m worried I’ll be a douche with them. Thoughts?
I have a lowered 05 coupe
The only thing worse than lambo doors on a G35 is lambo doors on a Chevy 4x4.
There's only two possible scenarios where you can pull off lambo doors.
1. OEM equipment on a Lamborghini
2. FULLY kitted out car, I'm talking the craziest wide body you've ever seen, with a spoiler that will make Paul Walker roll over in his grave, with all the craziest **** you could even imagine. Because at that point it will basically be expected for there to also be lambo doors.

Before I retired from my shop I put what seemed like a truck full of these things on, for some reason, late model vettes and a couple of S2000's. If you absolutely have to have one the ones from Vertical Doors were the best ones we found. They bolt on in the factory hinge points, they're strong as hell, and the whole set up is pretty much reversible if you get tired of them. On the two cars I mentioned the doors will open conventionally about 18" if you don't want to flip them up. Companies been in business for 10 years that I know of and all of their kits are vehicle specific. Most of the others back then welded on and were a pain and some outright trash. When you weld you're pretty much letting your doors hang by the sheet metal when open unless you cut in to the reinforcements. Only caveat is that you're probably going to have to modify the inside of the rear of your fenders and on the vette the lead edge of the doors. And you'll likely want that body kit.

thanks man. I’ll look more into it. The company I have is German. I’ll look when I get home

There is a German kit manufacturer that I think makes their own version of the Verticle kit called LSD(no pun) and they are supposed to be pretty good. I never tried them because with shipping from overseas at the time they were just too high but they probably have a distributor now. The kit was well over a grand new.
If it was 2002-2003 "maybe" our cars look good as hell already, there is no need to ruin it
It looks absolutely awful on anything with 4 doors(the worst I ever saw was on a Denali) but before I retired we installed between 10-15 sets and it was all on C6 Corvettes. They looked pretty good, were completely mechanical so no power units to break, and you could even open the doors up conventionally far enough to get in and out if you didn't want to flip them. The kits were specific to your car, and complete bolt-ons though you had to do some modification to the front edge of the doors(on the Vette) and remove the center rearmost brace inside the fender. I got to where I could do the whole thing in about 4 hrs or so. It's one of those things where it looks sort of cool if you like sitting at the cruise-ins with the doors open but I'd get bored with it after a while.
