I did almost the EXACT same thing about 20 years ago with a 1990 Geo Storm, that was easier though because it had a big liftgate window in the back and I just started the sheet metal right there. It was a fun car, I won't say it turned out great but it definitely wasn't bad.

 

I never knew it was possible to hate and like something so much at the same time.
