I ordered the spec-d headlights in dark chrome and had issues with scattered light above the cut-off line that would shine way up and light up tall trees, and blind other drivers. ordered from redline360. they exchanged for me once, same issue again. in order to fix ihad to pry open the headlights and spray painted the chrome housing black with high heat spraypaint. that fixed it. dont order the chrome or dark chrome ones .
Interesting. I never thought that part of the light assembly would be reflecting any light.
i was a nightmare because nobody at spec d understood that this thing is defective, before i figured out it was the shroud refecting light i thought it was the reflector bowl, i spend money changing out the projector entirely inside the light, not until i painted the shroud black did it finally work. had to seal them good to prevent condensation.
were you having the same issue?
"Majestic Blue" with aftermarket headlights and a plenum spacer on Kansei Tandems.

I got the China specials but theyre pretty good actually.
I've got the same ones with the exception that the housing is black. I've had no issues with them besides the fact that they're de-laminating almost a year after I got them...

running lights de-lamination
Yeah I had the same de-lamination issue but after a while the whole thing will peel off and then the headlight will look nice and clean again. Heres how mine looks right now. The car is pretty dusty right now but u can see theres no more signs of delamination.
