Engine cover 'chrome' logo

Like many others, the (fake) chrome logo on my engine cover became loose and has been lost. The little dimples broke off and it was loose so I tried some adhesive but that didn't work (probably because of heat). I found and bought a used engine cover on eBay that still has the logo and I want to secure it better to avoid losing it again. The listing says it's for an '09-10 M35, i.e. newer, so I'm wondering if Nissan fixed how they're attached because this one has larger, plastic weld 'beads' securing it. Did Nissan "fix" this over time ? As it is, I can't remove the logo to add adhesive, at least not without breaking the weld beads.

Any suggestions ? I prefer the engine cover so "leave off the cover" aren't necessary....
