Hi guys,

so around a month ago I put z1 test pipes on my G with no issues. A few days ago, my jack broke the night before I was going to do an oil change, and due to the fact little oil if any left in the car (2005 revup coupe) I had to just pour in 5 quarts. It’s worth to note that I also had cut off my sensors in the tp, correct me if I’m wrong but I believe those are down streams sensors. Long story short, they wouldn’t stay tight and rattled obnoxiously every time the car was started. by the time I got high temp thread sealant, they had been melted off. So, off they went. Right after I put that 5 quarts in my car, I was sitting in high RPMS in second gear (4500) and floored it to see a ridiculously large amount of white smoke. Obviously concerned, checked my oil and coolant, no mixing of the two and didn’t look like my coolant level had dropped. Fast forward a few days, I bang the **** out of first to second, but this time I see a little blue smoke and straight white. And both times, it was quite a large amount. Almost a burnout level of smoke the 2nd time. I pulled sparks, no oil. Checked compression, perfect all around at 210. Still no dropping levels of coolant or oil. No visible leaks or cracks in the block. This leads me to believe my valve cover and head gaskets are mint. And my piston rings are also mint. That leaves me with - there was excess oil that had to be burned off. How it would escape into the combustion chamber? No clue. Or, those sensors are making me run ridiculously rich. I’ve still been driving the car, I’d rather not but it is my only vehicle and at this point in time I cannot afford another. It’s been running great, still smokes on startup, very small amounts, and I haven’t seen a large dump of smoke even when I get on it. Any ideas you guys? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do a compression test but you probably smoked the rings running that low on oil. I think the minimal acceptable psi is 142 in the factory service manual.

 

I did not explain myself very well, I have done a compression test, 210psi all around. Perfect compression.

 

Next would be a leakdown test to see if it pushed the HG.

You sure it isn't anything stupid like:

-Overfilling the oil increasing crankcase pressure to the point where it pushes past the rings or valve stem seals
-Having a full catch can that sometimes sucks oil into the intake under high vacuum (high RPM engine braking) conditions

You really shouldn't let your engine run that low, I add a quart every 1000 miles by default and check the oil level once between changes at 1500 or so. And I don't even have a revup.
Do you have a catch can? Have you pulled off your intake and looked for pooling?
