I bought a g35 05 coupe used with lots of mods for about 10k and the engine blew up in 36 hours.

It had a turbo, full exhaust system and this HKS ecu tune 2 or something and some other upgrade to the engine im not sure about 19 inch vossen rims, carbon fiber side mirrors, duck tail(maybe carbon fiber),upgraded suspension, 2 brembo brakes on the front and an intercooler. i thought it had upgraded internals aswell but turns out it wasnt. Some things get lost in translation, since im in taiwan and cant speak the language my wife translates for me and i dont know anything about motors. It threw a rod literally 36 hours after a bought it.. I know it was a bad mistake buying this car and i took a gamble and lost.

So i bought another used g35 i could find for about 4k this time an 04 sedan with no mods.(i shud have done the first time) since i couldnt find another vq35de engine and the repair price is nearly the same. Was planning to either fix the first car or strip it for parts to use on the sedan.

My wife found a fugi 350gt for sale which i think is same as m35, can get the engine for about 1k.(maybe the whole car, since it cant be registered) They also arranged some mechanics to perform the engine swap.

They came and took the car yesterday, and they looked at the car today, And they said the turbo was type 4 and cant be tuned, So i have two options install with turbo or remove the turbo. They said the turbo is about 400 hp maybe. And it might cause the 2nd engine to explode aswell. I tried to search what is a type 4 turbo and i couldnt find anything so im not sure if it got mistranslated. I also heard it vq35de can do 400 hp safely. So im not sure what i am going to do? i need to go there tommorow and talk with them more. An interesting thing which might be some evedince but i have a drag app to measure my 0-60.. The turbo car was 7.4 seconds, sedan was 9.3 seconds but needed to replace ignition coils, after that it got 7.3 seconds.. So the turbo car had something wrong to begin with.
