Help needed keep blowing same ignition coil

Just purchased an 03 g35 6 speed coupe was driving home and it blew the IGN CONT&ECCS fuse and it burned the middle cylinder ignition coil “bubbled up like it got to much voltage” on the drivers side bank had to tow it home with my Tahoe I got a new ignition coil that afternoon drove to my buddy’s house across town “about 10mins away” and it lost all power like before fuse blew again and fried the ignition coil on that cylinder when I was pulling into his driveway and damaged the connector due to getting to hot so I put another fuse in unplugged that ignition coil drove to autozone on 5cyl bought a new connector wired it up got a new ignition coil I threw it on in the parking lot I got home smelt burning same exact issue I unplugged it before it fried the coil but it was smoking is there any capacitor or relay or maybe the spark plug that would be damaged all other coils are perfect only affects the middle one on the driver side bank I can drive it all day on 5cyl but as soon as I plug that in the new coil will last 10-15mins before getting fried any and all help is appreciated has no other codes other than a misfire on that cylinder

You have to isolate the issue. Is it on the high voltage side of the coil or the low voltage side. If it's on the high voltage side, more than likely it's the spark plug shorting out. Remove the coil and the spark plug. Lay the spark plug on a grounded surface and try starting the engine. Watch for the intermittent spark across the spark plug electrode. If it looks normal your issue is in the low voltage side of the coil. Use a multimeter and check the voltage on the connector that feeds the coil. It could be a shorted wire/connector or an issue with the ECM. You can download the service manual from https://www.nicoclub.com/infiniti-service-manuals that has the ignition wiring diagram so you can troubleshoot the circuit..

There’s 3 pins on the ignition coil the pin going towards the bottom of the coil is the one that caught to much voltage as the other pins are perfect same thing on the connector as to troubleshooting I don’t have access to a multimeter how would I test the wires when I get access to one I can get a pic of which wire it is when I get home thank you for the help as well

The wire that got to much voltage is the blue and white wire on the connector itself it had a few scraps of wire exposed that’s why I put a new connector thinking it would solve the issue

Your spark plug is most likely defective and its burning your coil. Try replacing that spark plug first.

Put a new spark plug and the 4th coil pack lasted a little longer still burned up I’m gonna get a new ecm to put in the car since there’s no shorts all the grounds are good and it’s not affecting anything else other than that cylinder

Cool. That would be the only variable left.
