1. Get the 3M headlight restoration kit. It is around $20 and works great. I used it on my old WRX.

2. I sent my CD player off to some guys in California (I think) that fix them for around $150. I found them on eBay. They were fast and everything works now.

2. This is a good fix if you're on a low budget and want to simply fix the error. If you want to spend a few extra bones and upgrade I'd highly recommend it. The CD players ALL go bad in these cars. I spent the extra cash, got the double DIN kit, and installed just a Pioneer single DIN. The sound quality improved significantly and having direct iPod control, etc was more than worth it.
Thanks for the great info, I will try this on my car!

I had this same problem with my car, it ended up being that the motor that makes the window go up and down wasnt working properly. I took it to the dealership cuz it was still under warranty and they fixed it. If you still have warranty definately take it back to get it fixed, its a hard thing to replace on your own.

Good points. I thought about upgrading my stereo but I didn't want to fork out the extra $300+ it would cost to put in an aftermarket head unit.

If it rattles and pop, the bolts are loose and you need to just retorque it. It'll cost you about $125 for labor.
My sunroof is loud as in wind noise. Sounds like a dang hurricane. My 04 was quieter.

I hate that the rear seatbelt locks around my sons booster seat. Nearly every time he gets in I have to damn near remove the seat to get the seatbelt fed far enough in to unlock. So annoying.

Poor gas mileage (I averaged 22-23 for my 6MT sedan), well, compared to my civics that get 35....lol.

goofy twin glove box system (both suck).

These have been said before, multiple times, but:

Water runs into the trunk if you open it after a rain/driving through sprinklers.

And the front anticupholders, wtf! That spot is my phone holder. I use the ones in the backseat armrest for actual cups. I will rarely (if ever) have four people in the car, much less four people in the car who need cupholders.

I can't stand the design of the steering wheel. The AC fans seem to blow the air RIGHT at the wheel and bounce off, instead of hit my face

Bad Paint, a lot of paint chips. Lack of low-end torque.
