Yes, there's a DIY to cleaning/repairing the motor. Actually, there are a few.

Sometimes stuff can just be cleaned or greased or replace a sprocket (whatever the case may be). I always try to fix that stuff before going new. Which reminds me, I need to look at my scooter motor. Haha

Thereis a trick to that piece. if you remove it and the plastic under it, they snap together. thats what holds it flush.

also frankie you wouldn't have noticed a difference with z shocks. I dont think there is any lowering spring hard enough to make the g ride like crap.

There is alot of confusion about the shock being shorter affecting especially the ride height and quality, but the valving may be different. Having a shorter strut rod only affects how much the suspension droops and possibly preload the spring a bit if I'm not mistaken.

I have Z blues and G-S techs. You would'nt feel the car is lowered if you rode in it.

Road dirt

A BMW attracts girls.
A Mercedes attracts women.
A G-car attracts road dirt.

Do not despair. You will succeed by relying on your intelligence and good looks.
