i just my G35 (2008) about week ago, all my frends and family told me that it may not appeal to everyone but, after driving the car, they all like it. couldn't belive Infiniti make such a power full car

 

I hate the build quality. The exterior moldings are loose and the interior to me is cheap for a $30,000 car when new.

 

I have to agree with you. Once Acura TL comes out, its going to get bad. as you they will do much better job than infiniti.

 

I hate the fact that Canadian G35's cost more than USA G35s.

 

i think this has been said, but i hate the paint... the clearcoat is like a sheet of paper thick, and the paint chips so easily. Wish i had my indistuctible volvo 960 sometimes...

 

I second most of the other replies...

1. the seatbelt is definitely a problem.. it doesnt retract on its own so I forget and shut the door on it sometimes and now it's all folded and dirty

2. blind spot almost killed me a few times

3. such a nice car could have been a little more powerful

4. I hit 60k, warranty just expired, and I need a clutch replacement =(

5. my 04 sadly did not come with projector and had me hunt for 06's

6. premium bose system... premium my as$

7. the automatic seat that doesn't completely go back to its position (have to fix the incline every time)

8. you can open the window with the remote, but why the hell can't you CLOSE THEM with the remote?

 

That was beautiful...

I agree with some of the logged complaints.

My list would include:

1. The gage and LCD screen lighting should adjust to all outside lighting conditions so that the preset screen brightness would remain constant. The Caddy CTS has this.

2. The Fog/Driving Lights are worthless. There should have been REAL Driving lights installed. And they should work independently of the headlights w/o going to after market extremes.

3. The Paint job is like a sheet of paper thick. My Black Beauty - 2007 G35X, Auto, Premium Package, does scratch way too easily. One member mentioned his Volvo. Other cars offer premium paint jobs - it costs more - but I would have opted for it for sure. This is a common complaint of Clearcoat paint though.

4. The seat heaters are too slow to warm up. I'm in the NY area (suburbs). On those cold mornings (can't garage my G right now), the seats take long to warm up.

5. The power windows should be able to be rolled UP with the transmitter just as esaily as they can be Rolled Down - cited by another member.

6. Yeah all cars could use more HP and Torque after you've driven for a while. You take the power for granted. BUT this car is rated No. 1 in it's class for power, handling & driveability. Especially for this price !!! Couldn't agree more with the Rating.

The above are relatively minor..... The Car is Awesome overall. Anybody who has driven the competition (2007 Acura TL, 2007 Caddy CTS, Lexus IS 250 or 350, BMW 325i, even the Lincoln MKZ (not really close, but it is in the category), Knows How Good this CAR IS.....DOMO

 

My only gripe is the way the clutch lets out. I didnt get mine new so im not sure how mine compairs to to others but I read many dislike it. At work I drove new z's all the time and was surprised how different the 2 were chutch wise.

And one more thing I forgot. A tape player? seriously who bought tapes in 03?

 

I agree with naughty WTF is with the tape player...I find it wierd that all these people bitching about thier car are part of an enthusiast website about thier cars...if all these things bother you so much why do you still own the car?

 

maybe some people can't afford to switch cars often... just a thought

I dont like the flat cornerings, makes the ride feel very rigid
I dont like the seat controls on the right seat cushion, makes my leg hurt after awhile.
I dont like the soft paint!
I Def HATE the spare tire jack (very fragile and dangerous)!
I dont really like the look of the non sport pkg front bumper
I dont like the amber corner lights
I dont like the little notch bump things on the grill( you can see it if you look at it in an upward angle, but it disappears when you look at the grill directly level)
I dont like the bose stereo
I dont like the a/c controls
I dont like the mpg on the car
Did I mention I hate the paint!
thats pretty much about all I can think off right now
